About this deal

Greatly emboldened by the advances of the digital age, the ever-experimental Bush went one further, building a home studio and developing her latest new material to her satisfaction, subsequently dividing the end product into two distinctive sections.

Vinyl in EXCELLENT condition, MINIMAL superficial surface marks and minor background noise in places. The title has received universal acclaim and has been enshrined into pop-culture history Q magazine readers voted Hounds of Love the 48th greatest album of all time, while two years later the same magazine placed it at number 20 in its list of the "100 Greatest British Albums Ever". In a second accompanying video, Kate explains via on-screen text, that she was inspired to expand upon a piece of work she first created for a special War Child charity auction in 1994 (see our news item here on the original artworks). Review: Kate Bush is right back into the popular consciousness of even younger music lovers these days thanks to one of her most iconic tracks was included in some of the key scenes in Stranger Things. It is a perfectly good remix for the radio/single, but loses some of the impact of the original album version. There is way too much sibilance on this release - and that really isn’t acceptable, given there are adequate methods to minimise inherent faults in the original master. The first side of the album mark’s the heights of her commercial success whilst the second side explores darker concepts. There’s a special emotional connection that happens between the possessor of an album, the music and the artwork, when it exists in the real world. Inside The Boxes of Lost at Sea are two vinyl records, described as “UV print on a side without grooves, on white vinyl.

Running Up That Hill' is obviously the highlight, and I'm not basing this solely on the fact it's her most well-known single! The first 5 tracks were 4 singles (albeit some slightly remixed) and the quirky, by totally essential, Mother Stands For Comfort. The 80s production sharp edges on drums etc have presumably been smoothed down a bit in remastering, more in keeping with the production of her later albums. If you can’t afford it I understand and am sorry, but don’t rain on everyone else’s parade, that makes no sense.I am very pleased it has been re-released and remastered on black no nonsense vinyl, as the last remastering was on a mauve marbled vinyl and that was a disaster, with poor pressing.
