The Drift Ghost XL Pro 4K Action Camera is bringing the bullet form factor of the acclaimed Ghost XL together with new stunning 4K video resolution. In truth, even if things didn't move that fast in the world of cameras, the Drift XL would struggle – it's very similar to the Drift Stealth 2 HD that George tested in 2015. That's seven years ago. However, with the Drift Ghost XL Pro, you know that you have one of the best action cameras on the market. It doesn’t try to please everyone or cram in all the features you can think of; it just provides you with the core, and there’s a lot to say.
Total Flexibility: Whether for use as a helmet camera, bike camera, body cameras, vlogging camera, streaming camera, we have a mount for that; or use our universal clip to use go pro camera mounts I use one of these. I have it helmet mounted using the versatile standard 1/4" thread on the body so it sits on the helmet and is quite aero certainly much better than the Apemen gopro type that I used before and because it is close to the helmet it doesn't seem heavy. Haven't tried the self adhesive mount yet. It gets reg plates in good light, I think helmet mounting helps here as you can follow the car with your head which tends to steady it out a bit. Low light, forget it. The main attraction for me is the 8 hours battery life which means charge it after every use and format the card after viewing the close passes, then turn it on before the ride and forget it. I use continuous recording which means 30min segments and I haven't noticed any gaps. 64GB card hasn't run out on me yet. Claims to be water proof but haven't tried it in a deluge yet. Seems OK in light rain.This is a big, sturdy camera with big, sturdy mounts and some potentially useful features for cars and motorcycles. Despite the (big, sturdy) addition of bar and helmet mounts for bicycles, though, little about the Ghost XL makes it particularly good for cycling. Verdict
Others have mentioned the ability to connect an external mic using a waterproof adaptor. Haven't tried this yet but it's looking like it may be an option for low light plates. The original Ghost series action camera, the Ghost X, features excellent video quality and amazing durability! The battery is integral, but at 3000mAH, it’s considerably larger than most other action cameras and, with the right setting, will last up to 7 hours, which is impressive.DashWare - that won't do it; again, it's happy to stitch video and telemetry but nothing to do with the actual video

It’s been designed to be as simple as possible, even when using gloves or underwater. The large button closest to the lens starts and stops recording with the light changing to indicate that the recording has started; another press to finish. Simple and solid essentially sums up this action camera. The sleek design makes it a perfect option for side mounting on a helmet, and with a huge array of mounts available, attaching it to almost anything isn’t difficult.
