I thought that a bit too much of the book focused on describing the work, usually in very explicit detail, which delayed getting to the romance aspect of this monster romance. To be honest, I was expecting a smutty read, but what I got, although with some very interesting, graphic, and weirdly exciting descriptions on how to milk a minotaur, was a slow-burn love story. Until Morning Milking Farm offers generous pay that might help Violet survive, Violet applied for the job that might change her whole life. But it is a quick read and free on Kindle Unlimited, so if you’re curious about it, I think it’s worth picking up to give it a try. And I think my only problem is that the timeline of the story is a little bit messy, like I had to re-read some parts to understand if it was the past or the present because it was just kind of thrown in, so there was a little bit of confusion in that part. Lastly, it does not escape me that I am giving this book the same rating that I gave Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, I hope my 12th grade English teacher never finds my profile here. What is the world even coming to when the United States's health care is so shit that you might literally seize the bull by the horns just to have someone look at your teeth? And they’re minotaurs…I get that they’re a hybrid beast, but it would have been wonderful to see that they had pubic hair resembling a labyrinth or something with their reproductive organs to set them apart. Gotta say if you don't like long-ass paragraphs that just contain the MC's internal monologue or contemplation.Believe me when I say the cover is self-explanatory and this story is some of the best erotica I've read in a long while. Anyway this story was surprisingly good, straddling the razor’s edge between romance and smut effectively. The mythology has it that the minotaur semen – alarmingly copious amounts of which are produced by the clients at the farm – is the magic ingredient in the “little blue pills” for human erectile dysfunction. Rourke keeps talking about needing to prepare Violet given the, uh, girth of his member, yet it felt like the foreplay was incredibly quick and then she was totally able to take him.
