About this deal

Like most PA speakers, this speaker occupies M8 rigging points and a 50-degree rear corner angle. This allows the speaker to double as a floor monitor. The speaker also allows freedom for mixing facilities. For example, in case of a simple job, the speaker has to be used in a stand-alone mode. Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty

The DBR10 is the most compact model in its series and in its class. Capable of delivering a maximum SPL of 129dB from its compact enclosure, the DBR10 can be used as a utility speaker in a variety of environments. The new DBR series makes the technology from Yamaha’s established DXR speakers available at an even more wallet–friendly price.

In addition to their standard two-year warranty, Yamaha are now offering an extension of an extra two years when you register your product with your Yamaha Music ID within six months of purchasing it. Follow this link to register: https://hub.europe.yamaha.com/account?tab=products Features For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. The DBR's lightweight, high performance Class-D amplifier is capable of producing up to 1000W* of power, achieving an SPL of 132dB, delivered with remarkable clarity and dynamic characteristics. *DBR10 has an output level of 700W. Custom Designed Transducer My only real complaint was I'd like to see the handle modified so that it's not just a slot but something you can grip like a handle. If you have strong fingers this isn't a problem but I'm older (64) and it's not as easy for me. Yeah, that's a wussie complaint but heh, fingers aren't as strong as they used to be.

The angled case of the speaker makes it possible to be placed horizontally when used as a stage monitor. The small size, lightweight, and handle placement make carrying around this speaker in between gigs easier. The portability of the speaker leads to more accessible transportation. Yamaha DBR10 Speaker Features: If you need to plug a mic directly into the speaker, it needs to be of the type that doesn’t require phantom power, and the sensitivity may also be a little lower than you’d be used to with a mixer, but it will get you by for announcements or musical applications where effects are not required. It’s always better to have this facility than not as it could get you out of trouble if somebody pours beer into your mixing desk halfway through a gig!To ensure that the speakers have the highest possibly reliability, The DBR Series employs 3-way fail safe protection function that is controlled by DSP and ensures reliable operation of all internal components including transducers, power amplifiers, and power supplies. Yamaha are so confident in this system that they offer a 4 YEAR WARRANTY on the DBR speakers! Here's what Yamaha say about the DBR10 Active PA Speaker: I"d been playing acoustic guitar through a small acoustic combo amp, mostly doing solo "special music gigs." I"m generally not playing longer gigs, just a few songs for special events. I"d been happy for the most part with my small amp. Considering everything, it"s quite capable, especially when playing solo to a captive audience. I"ve had more than one occasion however when I turned down requests to play in a larger church or with a small ensemble. In those situations, the amp is less than adequate. I could be heard throughout the church when playing for a quiet crowd, but it just wouldn"t fill the room sufficiently. I should also make clear that I am not a fan of "DI-ing out." I"ve played in churches in particular for years. I"ve been burned on too many occasions to be comfortable with that. Compared these with DXR8's, DXR10's, K8's, and K10's in both playing music through them and using them live with both band situations and solo acoustic environments. They are every bit the speaker that I compared them too. Are there slight nuances that are different? Of course... every speaker has its own characteristic. That being said the new DBR series speakers will provide you the same sonic experience as DXR series Yamaha's and the K series QSC's with a little less power and plastic rather than metal exteriors. (in other words, they will scratch easier)

An angle of 90 degrees’ horizontal and 60 degrees’ vertical is used for horn coverage. The base of the cabinet body comprises a 35mm pole mount. The body itself is molded and has a top handle, which is carefully placed.A Rugged, Highly Portable Cabinet - DBR Series speakers feature a compact, lightweight, and durable plastic cabinet which offers the highest level of portability of all Yamaha powered speakers. The sleek steel grille bolsters cabinet durability and protects the internal components while a newly designed ergonomic handles provide effortless transportation and system setup. The bass driver of the speaker is custom-owned by Yamaha, which they use in all their speakers. Other than that, it consisted of a two-inch voice coil. The speaker also had a cone that measured almost 10 inches. It's never a fun task having to haul a PA system around. Whether it's to and from the gig, or even just changing positions when you're there. That's why Yamaha's DBR series has been built with portability in mind. With compact, lightweight, and ultra-rugged plastic cabinets, DBR loudspeakers are a breeze to carry and move, with newly designed ergonomic handles that make transport easy.

As mains, the church I was using them at had only one complaint—they looked too small. I had to grill them to get them to admit they sounded full and big and they finally admitted it. This was in a 200 seat ballroom and they had plenty of headroom for the typical guitar/keyboard duo. Keys sounded huge through them too. I was running four—two on the floor in stereo and two as mains with an Allen & Heath QU-SB digital board and an iPad. In terms of the fan based cooling, and the user manual's warning to beware of using it in environments having a lot of air-born dust and such, I just gaffers-taped a piece of air conditioner filter over the input grate. Issue solved. I have a long haired dog, which makes for a hostile environment exactly like the one they warn against.Yamaha D-Contour offers intelligent multi-band dynamic processing which can continuously deliver sound that is natural, clear and powerful - regardless of volume.
