For better or worse, many parents keep their entire lives in a digital file. So, why not record your child’s birthday interview each year? You can keep all the videos in one Google Drive file and have them forever! Record Answers Verbatim– the point is that we want to remember what they used to be like so make sure to record their answers word-for-word, errors and all. A birthday interview is a fun tradition to start with your kids. It involves asking them a series of questions, and recording their answers on a video or a printable birthday interview questionnaire ( like the one that I have for you below!). You can vary the questions each year as your kids get older, or ask the same birthday questions year after year to see how their answers change as they grow up.

Take a picture or scan it and upload it to your Google Drive(make sure to make a folder for [child’s name] birthday interviews so it’s easy to find) You have a few options! You can use a report cover to keep each printed interview sheet protected. The report covers have a clear front so that you can see the interview clearly when you store it away, but it also has three prongs to keep the printable in place and secure throughout the years, allowing you to save these printed papers for as long as you want. If you can’t find these covers, you can always laminate the papers. Lamination is another simple and effective way to protect the printable so that it doesn’t get damaged over the years.
