About this deal

Maybe that's because I know I wanted to see or read it really bad before it got all the hype. Then it got all the hype. So I let myself get my expectations soooooo high. I set myself up for to be disappointed.

Firstly, the final game of the season is nail-bitingly won by Richmond after going 2-0 down, giving them a chance at possibly winning the league. More importantly, we get a lovely moment of celebration from the team, including Colin kissing his boyfriend, Michael on the pitch. As she’s walking out of the airport, a little girl falls right in front of her face. When she looks up, she sees her mysterious Dutchman. He’s a pilot. She gets her happily ever after! Leslie, Keeley, and Rebecca in the season 3 finale. (Apple TV+) If you love the hit comedy series as much as we do, then Richmond is the best place to be. We can confirm it is a real place andmultiple parts of this amazing borough were used forfilming! A few years ago I hopped on a plane with Coach Beard headin' to a little town in London. Tonight we play our final match. For Ted Lasso, the good news is that an effective (series?) finale lingers in the minds of viewers far longer than the events that preceded it, giving the show an opportunity to go out on a high note. It did, mostly: “So Long, Farewell” is a heartwarming 75-minute (!!!) send-off for the characters and club we’ve come to love over the past few years, even if the episode somewhat overstays its welcome. (Seriously, there is no reason for the finale of a workplace sitcom to be longer than The Land Before Time.)

How do you get there?

After the finale, Ted's story is (for now) complete. It began with his trip to accept a job in England, as he had trouble managing anxiety and the end of his marriage. Eventually, Ted found himself in the UK thanks to therapy, camaraderie and the "beautiful sport." Need a little inspiration? Discover how Ted Lasso’s 'Believe' sign can motivate you in your own life, how you can learn to be optimistic and resilient like Ted, and how his core beliefs could even help you live longer. This humorous, easy-to-read guide reveals the psychology behind Ted’s life lessons. It’s like having Ted Lasso as your very own life coach. I truly love Jason Sudeikis and think he was one of the most underrated comedic writers and actors of the last 10-15 years. So I beyond excited when I heard this show was coming out 2 or 3 years ago or whatever. Stephen Colbert Forced To Cancel 'The Late Show' This Week After Undergoing Surgery For Ruptured Appendix The book is written by one of the characters in the show who joins the Richmond FC as their biographer. During the time that the author is in the show, he experiences a new way of life that he hasn’t seen anywhere.

Then it got SO MUCH HYPE and won every award possible and I got worried for when I was going to have the time to sit down and watch it. Usually when a book, show or movie that I want to see gets that much hype and wins every award. And is talked about everywhere and becomes a cultural phenomenon when I finally get to watch it. It might be okay, or even decently good. But it's nothing incredible or award worthy. At the end of the road near Richmond Green, you’ll find Ted’s local pub, which is known as The Crown & Anchor on the show but is actually called The Prince’s Head. While interiors were filmed on a set, the pub is leaning into its role with a wall of Ted Lasso memorabilia, including a framed Greyhounds jersey. For a tradition that’s quintessentially British, plan your trip around a Sunday roast—sort of like a year-round answer to Thanksgiving, complete with Yorkshire pudding. Nearby, you can also pay a visit to the 1899 Richmond Theatre, where team owner Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) hosts her children’s charity benefit in season 1, episode 4.

We see in Season 3 that Trent was observing Richmond for a purpose. When Ted Lasso decided to give this character more runway, it did so in the form of having him work as a freelance author who was going to document the season with a book on AFC Richmond. It makes sense that someone who has seen Ted go from wanker to winner would write a book about this unbelievable team. After seeing Ted's true colors, Trent changed his tune with the coach, he even became a friend (and a Diamond Dog member). After skipping forward, Ted learns that the team finished second in the league to Manchester City when he’s at the airport. When on the plane, Coach Beard, whose first name is revealed to be Willis, decides that he doesn’t want to go and stays in England, leaving Ted. Unfortunately, as of now, there exists no definitive evidence supporting the existence of a published work titled ‘The Richmond Way.’ Ted Lasso’s Influence: Ted Lasso’s Season 3 finale reminded us of Ted’s impact on those around him — the Lasso Effect! Since arriving at Richmond, he’s given characters courage, and reminded the team of the importance of second chances and that positivity and belief conquer all. No character has been impacted more than Roy, whom we’ve seen transform from an unbreakable stone wall to a caring leader, one who’s more accepting and transparent with his emotions, a point reiterated in the finale, where Roy finally went to therapy with Dr. Sharon ( Sarah Niles). Roy truly reflects the power of the Lasso effect and Richmond needs that in their coach — someone who can follow in the footsteps of Ted. Discover real-world examples that illustrate these principles, beautifully crafted into relatable and humorous stories, designed to resonate with leaders and employees alike. Learn how 'The Richmond Way' can create a work culture where individuals thrive, collaboration soars, and businesses bloom.
