It's a fantastic alternative to the expensive La Nuit de L'Homme perfume because the notes and formulation are the same. The shape of the bottles for both of these fragrances is the only distinguishing feature.The longevity of this fragrance is above average, and you can expect a lifespan of seven to eight hours straight. However, this fragrance requires one to three puffs to sustain you through an average workday. It’s a sweet scent that doesn’t venture off into the super candy-like aroma, rather, it remains steadfast in its masculinity. Sweet, but the opening is a spicy freshness, with dry and woody undertones. That will shift, as we move along, but the opening brings it. Italian leather, Vetiver, and Tonka beans make the base note, which is this smell's core and principal constituents, giving it a world-class aroma with a distinct fragrance. La Nuit de L'homme, for some it is only a hyped scent, for me it is my first great love and the beginning of a never ending story, an indescribable passion. To make up for this, I gave him my full Collector Edition a year ago, because I knew that his 2009 is now empty and he did not buy the new version due to reformulations. It continues like this for much of the wear, then Vetiver and Caraway in the base notes begin to emerge. As it loses its moisture, it takes on a powdered texture and has a scent that appeals to the senses. Nevertheless, the overall feel is one of coziness and incredibly vibrant freshness. The lavender, vetiver, and cedar…along with the remaining but toned down cardamom is still awesome and a pleasure to wear.
