About this deal

Tenth anniversary (tin): Adam and his wife are watching a TV interview with Henry, who disparages Adam. The wife recalls coming home and finding Adam in bed with her friend from work. He claims he thought he was sleeping with his wife.

First, the ability of the author to put in a little detail in each and every chapter makes the reading more thrilling than the actual plot. Talent is what talent does. You will soon see it and it just cannot be hidden. The final REVEAL, shown through the eyes of a minor character, was also a nice touch, which I enjoyed. Before I start, let me include a disclaimer. You should probably disregard my review here. I am like the only person I know who did not enjoy this, and the only plausible explanation I have is that somehow I read a different book altogether. So my thoughts are of the book I did read, which may or may not be the same one everyone else did. Thank you to Macmillan, who sent me a free ARC in exchange for an honest review. Expected publication date: 9/7/21. The most unreliable was the authors information about Henry, was he nice? Adam and Sam thought he was nice. Or was he awful and a murderer, as Robin makes us believe he killed her mother, but no truth or unfolding ever came of what happened to Robin’s Mother?Does anyone think it’s an obvious mistake by the author as to why Robin can’t get the ring off Amelia’s finger at the end even though Amelia was always twisting the ring as a nervous tic and Adam even said it never fit her? New narrator: a woman named Robin, who lives in a cottage near the chapel. She watches the couple arrive and settle in. Amelia’s ring: too tight? Too loose? Why did Robin leave it on the grave? Who did she win this trip from again?Henry Winter, the elderly novelist in the book, has chosen to live in a converted chapel in a beautiful but very remote corner of the Scottish Highlands. Why do you think some people need to be alone, while others surround themselves with friends and family? Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI (2020-03-10). "Tahukah, #SahabatDikbud?". Told between alternating perspectives, as well as through annual anniversary letters, the truth of their frightening holiday in the Highlands, as well as the true state of their marriage, comes to light. Let’s talk about Robin. What were your first impressions of this character? Did your opinion of her change while you were reading?

Adam & Amelia win a weekend away to Scotland and decide to use it to celebrate their anniversary. Adam is a screenwriter and a workaholic, which isn’t helping their marriage. Maybe a weekend away will be just what they need to repair their relationship. Adam suffers from prosopagnosia (face blindness), but in public his wife stays by his side and helps him out when someone they know approaches. Sometimes. She can be a little passive-aggressive. This feature adds a fun and unique element to the story. Does the plot really matter to you though? If you’re still with me, you just want to know if there are any twists, and if they’re good ones, right? Well yes indeedy my friends, there are twists aplenty. Good ones, too. Then, as Amelia sleeps, Adam goes downstairs. He has turns off the generator on purpose, but lets Amelia believe that it's a power outage. He thinks about how jealous and suspicious Amelia is all the time and feels frustrated. He knows that he has cheated before, but so has Amelia. It’s so hard to talk about the plot without giving too much away because sometimes I tell unnecessary details and ruin the real magic reading experience of yours!Sinervo, Barry; Zamudio, K. R.
