No desire will ever be manifested in your life without courage. As I stated earlier, this year has already stretched me in ways that I have never been stretched before. Honestly, I tried to push a lot of things out of my mind and postpone them to some date in the future. Unfortunately, denial did not make the desire go away and I could no longer ignore it. I knew that I had to take action and I knew that it was not going to be easy. On the other hand, I knew that if I would act on the desire then I would inevitably see breakthroughs in my life. At this point, I had to make the decision to choose courage. We often talk about courage but I am not sure that many people know what courage is. Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is the audacity to unleash faith in the midst of uncertainty and fear. As I was forced out of my comfort zone, I am finding myself living in the great unknown. I am a thinker and strategist that likes to have every detail figured out. While this serves me greatly in business, I am learning more and more than it does not serve me well in moments of transition and transformation. I can either allow the great unknown to cripple me. Or I can allow the great unknown to unleash the force of courage in my life. I have chosen courage and it has opened my eyes to new frontiers and new horizons in my life. Courage is the currency of change. The cost of inaction is too expensive for you to pay. While we can choose inaction, I do not think that most people realize that the cost of inaction is higher than the price of pain in our lives. Inaction does not improve the quality of your life. More importantly, inaction keeps you imprisoned to the same cycles of frustration, failure, and defeat. The worst possible thing you can do is nothing at all. Why do I say that? If you do the same you will always get the same. However, if you dare to do something different then you will get different results. Inaction is proof that you do not honor the seed of your potential. Furthermore, inaction proves that you are not willing to make investments to improve the quality of your life. Inaction is the seed for frustration and yields the harvest of regret in your life. You must make a quality decision that you will not live 2020 in action. After all, inaction is a decision and it is altering the course of your destiny forever. Bouie, Jamelle (January 22, 2015). "Marvel's Secret Wars Initiative May Have a Secret Agenda". Slate. Jamelle Sanders Unbreakable: The Unbelievable True Story of Jamelle Sanders

You need to eliminate the excuses. As I always say, excuses are the monuments that we build to mediocrity in our lives. Some people call me an extremist because of my commitment to excellence and being world-class at everything that I set out to do. However, over the years I have heard it all. So many people make excuses for why they cannot grow, develop, mature, and advance. The reality is that they are not advancing because they do not want to advance. The excuses we make today engineer the failures of our tomorrow. You can keep telling your sad story and having a pity party. The reality is that the same energy you devote to feeling sorry for yourself is the same energy you can devote to fueling your success. Stagnation is the result of choosing mediocrity over mastery, convenience over change, and inaction over investments. Our excuses make us comfortable but they also exempt us from the change that we say that we want to see in our lives. You can have excuses or you can have executed results but you cannot have both. If it is important to you then you will find a way. If it is not important to you then you will find an excuse. Your excuses endanger your future and dishonor the seed of your potential. Excuses rob you of the opportunity to live an empowered life. Procrastination wants to paralyze your potential and rob you of progress. Eliminating excuses is making the necessary adjustments that will empower you to advance and actualize your vision. Adjustments always determine your ascension.Live a life that keeps giving. One of the proudest moments for me on my birthday was to read the overwhelming remarks that were made about me. I am not so much looking for kind words. I’m looking for honest and heartfelt words because that is what helps me grow as a person. As I received calls, texts, social media messages and cards, I was overcome with emotion. People told stories of how my life and work have impacted them in a big way. It was humbling to me and a reminder that my life is not my own. I always want to live a life that keeps giving. I understand that my life is a seed. My decision to mature determines the multiplicity of that seed in the world. Ultimately, I hope that more than my words, accolades or talents, I hope that I will be remembered for leaving a mark on the world that will never be erased. When you live a life that keeps giving you know you are living your greatest life. Uberti, David (January 16, 2019). "The future of the #SlatePitch in Trump's world". Columbia Journalism Review. Everything that I have shared with you is great. However, if you miss this piece, then everything else I shared with you is irrelevant. The difference in years, seasons, and cycles are the actions that you are willing to take. I cannot tell you how many people I have talked to over the years that talked incessantly about changing their lives but never took action. On this journey, I have discovered that inaction is one of the greatest imprisoners of your potential. If you are truly ready to live your greatest life in 2022, then you must become a person of action. It is action that closes the gap between desire and manifesting the life of your dreams. Action is how you build the bridge between hope and manifestation in your life. Everything that you desire is on the other side of action. While you may not have all the pieces, if you will dare to take action you can partner with greatness and realize your greatest potential. Do not let inaction give birth to regret and bitterness in your life. Dare to move in the direction of your goals and align with your vision. You will regret the actions that you did not take and the goals that you did not execute. Nobody else can be responsible for your dreams. I do not want you to die with dreams that were never realized. I want you to awaken to what is possible, take action and realize all of your dreams.O'Hare, Erin (May 29, 2019). "View finder: New York Times opinion writer Jamelle Bouie develops his perspective as a photographer". C-VILLE Weekly. You have to stop ignoring the desire within you for a greater life. As we crossed over into 2023, I found myself excited but dissatisfied with some things in my life. First of all, I will say that I have been blessed more than I could ever imagine. I have been so fortunate to build a business and brand that has impacted people all over the world. However, I knew that it was time for the next level but I was apprehensive about it. I tried to ignore the desire but it only produced more dissatisfaction. Therefore, I had to make the decision to listen to the desire and to follow it. If you want this year to be different for you, then you are going to have to stop ignoring the desire for a greater life. Desire is a divine whisper alerting you to the life that is possible for you. Take some time to silence the noise, listen to your spirit and dare to pursue incredible possibilities and opportunities for your life. Desire ignored will ultimately result in destiny forfeited. The Necessity of Growth: The Importance of Life Lessons

Well, it is hard to believe that February is coming to an end and we are about to enter the third month of 2020. I was reading a great piece by a friend of mine last night and it really resonated with me. In fact, it resonated in such a profound way that I am still meditating on that thought this morning. I talk with so many people that want to make progress in their lives. However, not many people are willing to pay the price necessary to see progress in their lives. One thing I know from experience is that progress is painful. While we enjoy the rewards of progress, not enough people are acquainted with the reality of the pain that accompanies great progress in life. I want to share some insights with you on how to endure the pain of progress to empower you to prosper and thrive in 2020 and beyond. a b Fitzgerald, Brendan (September 21, 2017).
